I rarely turn off or restart my computer, so I don't think the motherboard battery has anything to do with it. Many OTHER virus-scan and anti-spyware programs do the same thing, not only McAfee, such as Avast, that program has given me issues with even loading the internet. No hard drive petitioning, no discs to burn. My bad for not getting back here and letting folks know.
